Seeing Red: This Season’s Hottest Color Trend

I’ve said it a million times, and I’ll say it again — fall is my absolute favorite season. It just provides a huge opportunity to break out some of my top style picks. This fall is special, though, because not only is it the best season of the year, but my favorite color — red — is taking over. Now I have the opportunity to combine all the fall basics we know and love, but with a major pop of my fave color.

There are tons of ways to incorporate a splash of red this fall. I’ll link to everything that’s giving me life, but first I want to mention a few of my favorites below.

Midi Skirt

First, I have to mention my midi skirt from Sachin Babi. I bought the polka dot skirt because of my love for red. It’s such a statement piece and I feel so good when I’m in it. If you feel like you’ve seen it before, that’s because I’m wearing it in my photo on the homepage of Clark and Stone. When I started my blog, I thought it was a good representation of my style and personality, so I went for it.

Oversized Sweatshirts and Jackets

I don’t know about you, but I’m always wanting something cozy when the temperature starts to drop, so oversized tops, sweatshirts and jackets are key. I also recently told you guys about my obsession with buffalo plaid, which you’ll find in this round up. It is a necessity for fall and it’s so easy to find in red — you’ll usually see it in a black/red combo.

Night Out Dress

If you’re looking for something with a more feminine touch, I included a few dresses in my roundup that are showstoppers. The lace ruffled dress by Jonathan Simkhai has all the details I want in a fall date night or girls night out look. It has the best of both worlds. It’ll cover you up, but it’s also a little bit sexy with the mesh panels and form fitting waist.

Shoes

Of course you have to have (or least I do), a pair of red hot shoes. This is a staple in my closet. The pair I found that’s standing out to me the most is the Stuart Weitzman knee high boots. The heel is chunky, so it’ll provide extra support for those joints — something I need these days — and the style is simple, which makes them easy to wear with just about anything.

However you decide to wear red this fall, just know you’ll be one hundred percent on trend. I know I plan on taking full advantage of this situation.
