Pink has proven it has serious staying power in fashion so why not buy it for less. The color pink was a huge trend for fall/winter and designers decided to continue the hue into spring/summer lines. Anyone can find a shade of pink to compliment their skin tone, so why not find yours for less.
I am a sucker for a pleated skirt and when I found one in pink at H&M, I just had to buy it. Pink and pleats are like a dream come true. At least to me! Designers are also featuring backless tops for the spring/summer collections, including Zara‘s flirty option in (you guessed it) pink. You can wear this top so many ways. Zara shows it with the collar down, but I chose to pop the collar. I can’t help myself. I have a thing for popped collars. It goes back to my days in high school as a preppy teenager. I also chose to tie the back into a bow but it would look cute with the ties hanging down. I recommend wearing it with high waisted jeans and a pair of Stan Smith sneakers.
The thing with fashion is it doesn’t always have to be expensive. I strongly believe in mixing high and low labels. I paired a top from Zara with a skirt from H&M. Next, I added my Perrin Paris handbag with Aquazarra‘s Wild Thing Sandal to complete the look. I have shot this bag before, but I’m obsessed so you will be seeing it often. I purchased the sandals last season but they are also a classic. Aquazarra makes them in new colors each season. Classics are timeless. I wear this outfit for years to come and that’s really what fashion is all about. I buy pieces that will stand the test of time. However, I also try to be conscious and responsible, financially. Every item in my closet doesn’t costs an arm and a leg. Although, I do have a few arms accompanied by a few legs, in my closet. It’s all about balance.
