Do you remember the graphic t-shirt craze a few years ago? Well, it’s back and bigger than ever.
With summertime quickly approaching, I find myself getting excited with the endless possibilities of what to wear. Since I have two boys, I need outfits that offer comfort and ease. The graphic tee is the perfect solution for summer looks. Companies like Madeworn, J Crew, Gucci, and ASOS, have the best out there right now. Logo tees go well with boyfriend shorts, boyfriend jeans, and even nice pant suits for a night on the town. If you want to know how to style a graphic tee, then this post if for you!
I am currently in love with all things from Madeworn. Blaine Halvorson is the creative mind behind this rocker-chic brand whose designs feature some of my favorite bands. The Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper (which I’m wearing), Run DMC, and Blondie, just to name a few. He first began his career in the fashion industry with the label Junk Food, a vintage and nostalgia based clothing line for adults and kids. He launched Madeworn in 2013 and it took off with retailers like Intermix, Barney’s New York, and Shopbop vying to carry the rocker-chic line. I’m currently obsessed with their Rolling Stones Patch jacket which is to die for.
My Alice Cooper t-shirt has a metallic gold print with distressed holes. If you know me, then you know I love gold. It is my absolute fave accessory and embellishment for my wardrobe. Needless to say, I jumped at the chance when I saw this t-shirt at Athene Boutique. Styling it with a denim skirt – which by the way is another great choice for the summer – is how I chose to style it. It is also100% cotton so it’s very comfortable. You can’t go wrong with a denim skirt. A pencil skirt in denim was calling my name. I found this skirt at Zara last summer and the high waist is an added bonus. It hides the many doughnuts that I eat when I should be eating clean.
I bought this gorgeous shoe at Neiman Marcus Michigan Avenue. I needed a blush shoe and when I saw the ankle wraps, I just had to have them. It’s like a 2-for-1. I can wear the shoes with or without the ankle wrap. I wore them with the matching gingham ankle wraps but I’ve worn this mismatch as well and it looks really cool. Again, because comfort is always my top priority, this shoe was a great choice.
This clutch from Rebecca Minkoff is EVERYTHING! With the current state of affairs, this is the most powerful message for women. The future is female so watch out world! The Rebecca Minkoff Leo clutch is so versatile and comes in several colors and compositions.
The verdict is out! Graphic tees are fun and great for the summer. You can find them everywhere including Target. Grab a logo tee and head out for some summer fun.
