I don’t know if Clark and Stone would agree (I think they might later in life), but I feel like I’m a pretty cool mom, at least in terms of style. I’ve always loved fashion, and one thing that I didn’t want to change when I became a mom was feeling good with what I was wearing. Even though it takes time and effort, I like putting together outfits and staying stylish.
Cool Mom Style
Of course being a mom doesn’t mean I can be in high fashion everyday, it’s just not practical. For days when I’m hanging out with the boys or doing mom-type stuff, which is often, I like to throw on a “mom off duty” type of a look. A cool mom outfit! Just like models, moms can have stylish off duty looks too.
This is one of those looks. Ripped jeans are on trend but still extremely comfy, and denim is always a good idea for stuff with kids. It’s durable and I’m not afraid of getting them dirty, you know? Mixed in with my go-to Adidas and I can run around while still looking like myself and showing my fashion side off. I love that Adidas are back in style and pretty much go with anything. They instantly make an outfit look fresh.
On top, I’m really into the fun details on this pom shirt. The boys actually love it too. It’s very kid appropriate and also perfect for spring and summer style. I treated the pom top as a neutral and paired it with a printed, fitted jacket. It’s still kinda chilly in Chicago, but I’d even like this outfit without a jacket too. Topped off with a bright cross-body bag that lets me be hands on, literally, and my mom off-duty outfit is complete. Cool mom style at its finest!
