Clark and Stone were running out of things to do while honkered down with snow. The amount of snow Chicago has accumulated was way more than we anticipated. With massive amounts of snow comes lots of snow days. It can be hard to entertain these two. However, thanks to Target, I was able to snag Lego Ninjago and Lego City to keep the boys happy and busy.
I am a huge fan of Target and the boys love all things LEGO. So, we decided to stock up on everything before the snowstorm came in. Target has the best prices and takes all of the covid safety precautions. There is a greeter that sanitizes every shopping cart. You can buy online and choose curbside pickup. Clark chose the LEGO Ninjago Dragon Nijha Building set and Stone chose the LEGO City Family House set for our snow day activities.
LEGO bricks have been such a huge part of their childhood. It’s the perfect activity to keep their brains active and engaged. I started buying the boys LEGO sets because we can all do it together. I took them to the LEGO exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry when they were toddlers and they fell in love with LEGO bricks. Did you know the name LEGO is an abbreviation of two Danish words that basically means to play well and thats exactly what we did with the LEGO NINJAGO and the LEGO City sets. The instructions are easy to follow and I love that the boys always feel challenged when building with LEGO bricks . Clark couldn’t peel himself away from his set while Stone took a few breaks and asked me for help. I just love seeing their little minds hard at work.
If your kids are snowed in or need a little break from technology. I highly recommend taking a drive to Target to buy a few LEGO sets to keep your kids entertained for hours.
