Alright ladies, Valentine’s Day is on the horizon. Who loves Valentine’s Day as much as me? Whether it’s to show love to Clark and Stone, my husband, my girlfriends or even myself, I’m a big of of Valentine’s Day. One of the reasons I love it so much is because it’s an excuse to dress up (you know I don’t need a reason). Let me show you the kind of look I’ll be going for this year and why it’s perfect for Galentine’s or a night with your man.
Valentine’s Night Out Look
I have been waiting for the perfect occasion to wear this Sandro dress. Let me tell you why I love it so much. It really is a conservative dress with the sleeves and high neckline, but the length adds that extra something. My favorite part is how amazing an over-the-knee boot looks with it. Ladies, I’m telling you, if there was ever an opportunity to rock an OTK, this is it.
This look can definitely do double duty as a girl’s night Valentine’s Day celebration or a night out with my husband. It’s not overly sexy, but definitely has a little edge. I want to talk more about why these boots are perfect for V-day, though. First, like I said before, OTK is the way to go with a short dress (especially in Chicago winters). Second, the heel isn’t a stilletto, so it gives these knees a little extra support. Lol. Plus the height of the heel is perfect for a night out. They’re from Stuart Weitzman and I’ve gotten so much use out of them.
The dress I love because it’s not all red or all pink, even though red is an obvious choice and has been very on trend. To stand out a little bit I think going against the tradition of wearing all red everywhere is the way to go. I picked up this dress at [insert store] and absolutely love it.
No matter what you’re wearing or who you’re celebrating with, I hope you all enjoy the day of love!
